Augmented Reality Media & Entertainment

About the Campaign
For myFM The Gujarat Chapter 2026, CIL's AugmentR transformed a traditional newspaper event announcement into an interactive digital experience. The campaign connected offline print media with an immersive WebAR journey, allowing readers to explore the event and register instantly through their smartphones.
Campaign's Objective
The campaign aimed to transform a traditional newspaper advertisement into an interactive digital experience, simplify event registration through immersive AR, and bridge offline print media with measurable digital engagement.
CIL's Solution
Using the AugmentR platform, CIL developed a custom WebAR experience for the Building Bharat campaign, seamlessly integrated with the Times of India Ahmedabad Edition, 2nd August 2026 full-page advertisement. By scanning a QR code, readers could instantly explore the event and access the registration journey — without downloading or installing an app.
Outcome
The campaign successfully transformed a static newspaper advertisement into an immersive digital touchpoint, enabling readers to discover the Building Bharat event and register instantly through WebAR. By combining traditional print with interactive technology, the campaign created a frictionless registration journey while making audience engagement measurable.
Post-Campaign Insights
The campaign enabled the team to measure QR scan activity and user engagement, track event registration initiated through the newspaper advertisement, analyze audience interaction with the WebAR experience, and evaluate the effectiveness of print media enhanced with Augmented Reality. It demonstrated how WebAR can modernize event announcements by turning static advertisements into interactive, measurable experiences.
