About Godrej
Due to continuing threats of mosquito-borne diseases, people in urban and rural areas look for quick and affordable solutions to protect themselves. Godrej launched Pathshala — an innovative platform that enabled children in UP and Bihar to learn English while also exploring Godrej product features, combining health awareness with an educational experience.
Godrej's Objective
Godrej aimed to reach UP and Bihar markets with a distinctive concept enabling children to learn English while exploring product features — creating a unique brand engagement platform that combined education with brand promotion.
CIL's Solution
CIL tailored an offline educational platform called Pathshala for English Learning with subtle brand promotion. A voice recognition IVRS solution featured multi-profiled databases for UP and Bihar, alongside online analytics dashboards.
Platform Components
- Godrej Fastcard Fast Kid — a scholarship program allowing children to participate in quizzes and win scholarships worth ₹1 Lakh
- Godrej Angrezi Madam — voice recognition platform offering English learning experience to users over a call
- Godrej Fattakguru — recording mechanism allowing children to record their questions/queries and receive answers via SMS
Outcome
The Pathshala platform received multiple awards with thousands of participants learning English modules. The innovative use of voice recognition for education at scale in rural India was recognized as a pioneering use of communication technology.
